About our programmes

You will learn in a professional salon workspace with our curriculum meeting the needs of the modern salon environment. Working with highly qualified and experienced staff, our programmes have been carefully designed to inspire, motivate, and ensure those in the Hull area can be the very best they can be in the Hair & Beauty sector. We provide high quality, inspirational, safe education and training that meets the ambitions of individuals, businesses, and communities.

Learners on our programmes will gain worldwide recognised qualifications from VTCT in Hairdressing, or Beauty Therapy, and will also undertake English, and Maths if required.

Learners will also gain real life, salon environment work experience in our own award winning salons across the duration of their programmes.
Learners will participate in wider learning, competitions, developing today’s younger generation in the industry not only as stylists/therapists, but as people gaining confidence, resilience and life skills.

VTCT Level 1 Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector
This qualification includes a range of Hair and Beauty treatments, and includes plenty of practical work. On completion you will have a good understanding of which pathway you would like to choose - Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy, ready to progress in September 2026.

This is a great well rounded qualification, that gives lots of under-pinning knowledge of the industry, and also plenty of practical skills for working with clients. You will also complete work experience within our Salons so you gain hands on experience offering treatments.

You would cover the likes of Shampooing and Styling of Hair/Blow drying, creating an image using colour, along with Make Up, Manicure and Skin Care to name a few. This course is designed for prepare you for progressing to L2 Beauty or L2 Hairdressing.

VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy Studies

This qualification is a great all round course, and includes many treatments that are used regularly in todays industry. For progression, this could be onto Gel Polish and Nail Technology Courses, L3 Beauty Therapy, and even holistic courses such as Massage. Employers use these treatments regularly in their salons, with clients returning for ongoing treatments.

VTCT Level 2 Hairdressing Studies

This qualification includes the skills needed to work in today’s industry at a Junior Stylist. Progression includes L3 Hairdressing and would also ensure you have the required skills to progress further to the likes of Bridal Hair Styling, and Hair Extensions.

At the open evening there will be a presentation including further information about the Qualifications, Maths and English, Bursary fund, Enrichment and what we offer. You will also be able to ask any questions, and meet some of the team along with seeing our award winning centre. Parents/Guardians are more than welcome.
