Higher Education Career of the Month

At the beginning of each month, we will be sharing a Higher Education Career of the Month. Each feature will provide information about a different career path and university.

The purpose of this is to help learners explore the full spectrum of opportunities available to them in the hair and beauty sector. Careers in hair and beauty sector remain valuable and respected pathways, and we want to ensure that learners are aware of roles outside of the ones that are typically thought of when working in the sector and the steps they would need to take.

By exposing learners to a variety of higher education options, we aim to:

Raise aspirations and encourage ambitious goal setting
Increase awareness of diverse career pathways
Support informed decision-making
Build confidence to explore opportunities beyond familiar routes

We believe that every learner should feel empowered to choose a future that excites and challenges them. Providing regular insight into different institutions and career routes will help spark ideas, conversations at home, and long-term planning.
